Invitation to GMS Members - 75th Anniversary and AGM

Dear Guildmember,

I am writing to remind you about our forthcoming Anniversary event on Thursday, 30^th June at Barnard’s Inn, London EC1N 2HH.

Thank you so much if you already applied for tickets. I look forward very much to seeing you there.  The event is proving very popular so please do book now if you have not done so already. We will not have unlimited space!

We will also be holding our AGM from 5.00pm, also at Barnard’s Inn. Please can you let the Clerk know if you intend to attend. I very much hope that if you come to the AGM you will want to stay and join us for the 75^th celebrations. Of course if you do intend to stay, you will need a ticket. Do let our Clerk know if this causes any difficulty.

I can confirm a number of “keynotes” during the Anniversary celebrations as follows:

• We will be hosted by the CEO of Gresham College
• Music will be provided by students from the Hammersmith Academy.
• Our new History, by Michael St.John Parker, will be launched with accompanying commentary.
• A representative of the Mercers’ Company will attend to address the Guild.
• Canapes will be served during the evening and a bar service will operate.

The event will start at 6.15pm and end no later than 8.45pm.

It promises to be a wonderful occasion and at £35 per head is very competitively priced too! Early booking is recommended and please feel free to bring guests with you.

 You are hereby summoned to the 2022 Annual Meeting, which will be held as follows:

In the Council Chamber at Barnard’s Inn, home of Gresham College and formerly of the Mercers’ School

 On Thursday 30^th June 2022 commencing at 5.00pm.

2.            Minutes of the Annual Meeting 2021 and matters arising (to follow)

4.            Guild Master’s Report

5.            Treasurer’s Annual Report & Accounts (to follow)
